Meet the Lady in a Gi
My name is Zenab (pronounced "Zay"-rhymes with "say", "Nub"-rhymes with "tub") and I am the face behind LadyGi Jiu Jitsu.

I've been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) since 2013 and co-founded and co-own Affinity Academy of Martial Arts Inc. with my husband who was the real mastermind behind our business.
Since I started training BJJ, my life has transformed into the person I was meant to be. As a young Muslim girl born in Winnipeg Manitoba, in a rather (dare I say) strict Pakistani household, I never saw myself training a grappling sport, let alone leading a team of men as an owner of a business in a male dominated sport. I sometimes have to pinch myself and double check that I'm not stuck in a dream.
While it might sound glamorous to own a business with your life partner while raising a family, business has its challenges. I have learned a great deal about what it takes to lead, innovate, and persevere as a female entrepreneur in the martial arts industry.
Follow me along this journey as I share my experiences in business and entrepreneurship. You can also view my YouTube channel LadyGi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for tips and conversations around training.
